Birthday Bash, March 23rd!

The Friends of Lovers Key, Inc. (FOLKS)
is preparing to celebrate our 15th Anniversary as a Citizen Support Organization (CSO) for Lovers
Key State Park by holding a FOLKS Birthday Bash. As a member of FOLKS you are invited to attend the
FOLKS Birthday Celebration.
The Birthday Bash will be held on March 23rd 2012 from 6-9
pm on the beach of Lovers Key State Park. The celebration will include some exciting activities.
FOLKS members will have a special opportunity to mingle with other members as well as meet founding
members of FOLKS. The program will begin with a welcome and.....

The Friends of Florida State Parks (FFSP) is a nonprofit citizen support organization that supports all of Florida’s State Parks and is considered as the leading advocate of the Florida Park Service. In addition, FFSP is a valuable resource for the Citizen Support Organizations that work with the various parks though out the state. They help all of us assure that the “real Florida” is there for future generations......

The Friends of Florida State Parks (FFSP) is a nonprofit citizen support organization that supports all of Florida’s State Parks and is considered as the leading advocate of the Florida Park Service. In addition, FFSP is a valuable resource for the Citizen Support Organizations that work with the various parks though out the state. They help all of us assure that the “real Florida” is there for future generations.
Last year FFSP initiated a new grant program. The goal of which is to assist Friends and Alliance groups supporting specific state parks. Each organization had to apply for the grant and be selected by the FFSP grant committee to receive the funds. The Friends of Lovers Key State Park (FOLKS) were notified that we were one of the recipients of this grant. The funds assisted FOLKS in putting on the annual Turtle Trot 5K race. This event is the largest fund raiser of the year for FOLKS and is critical to our ability to support Lovers Key State Park.
