February 14, 2012 marked the 3rd anniversary of Love at Lovers Key, A Special Valentines Day Event!  The event was a huge success with forty-three couples gathering together on the beach at sunset to celebrate their marriage by renewing their vows to each other.  Rev. Dick Tafel, of the New Church of SW FL conducted the ceremony.  Upon arrival, couples posed individually for photos, enjoyed watching Rick Mungeam, professional sand sculptor, create the centerpiece for the renewal circle, listened to the music of DJ, Tom Maio and enjoyed light refreshments.  A champagne toast followed the ceremony along with wedding cake and door prizes. 

The grand prize for the event was an overnight stay and $75 dining certificate donated by the nearby Lovers Key Resort/Hotel.  The winning couple was Alan and Sue Lutz of Saint Joseph, MI.  Jim & Dorothy Lynch of Estero were recognized for celebrating 65 years of marriage.
